Forum: software Subject: Does archive.org ever remove stuff?

I was looking for some older versions of Minecraft on the Wayback Machine, and noticed that while some still exist at http://minecraft.net/client/minecraft.jar via the Wayback Machine (link here https://web.archive.org/web/*/http://minecraft.net/client/minecraft.jar ) there are some that are missing, particularly those before 2010. The earliest version I can find is 0.30, but all older versions going back (such as 0.0.14a) are missing. I don't know if these were never archived, or if they were removed at the request of the copyright owner of the Minecraft games. Was any kind of copyright notice sent to archive.org regarding Minecraft on the Wayback Machine, which lead to you remove some versions of the game?
